Struggles Of The Heart

The Heart is full of rage, 
For the shaytaan has trapped it in its cage.
Dont grieve! Allah is Al- Fattah, who will “ … remove the fury in the believers’ hearts…” (9:15)

The Heart seeks for the path of guidance.
While shaytaan draws on it a veil of disobedience.
Allah Al -Mu’min reminds “…and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith…” (10:2)

The Heart is diseased and wants to be pure, 
While the shaytaan has left no room for cure.
But Allah, Al Basit, says  “…. there has to come to you instruction from your Lord and healing for what is in the breasts…..” (10:57)

The Heart faces darkness all alone
As the light of faith was blown away.
Don’t lose hope! “Allah is the ally of those who believe. He brings them out from darknesses into the light”. 2:257

The Heart in the chest now lies dead, 
For the shaytaan killed it with sins.
With desires and doubts it was fed.
Allah is Al -Muhyi and “…He brings the living out of the dead, and brings the dead out of the living…” (6:95)

O owner of the heart why do you despair?
When Allah revealed His Speech 
For our hearts to be repaired. 
To keep in check our desires and wipe out our sins. 

So go forth and recite the verses of Your Lord.
Turn your hearts towards Him.
Till you find contentment and faith.
And Say “Our Lord, let not our hearts deviate after You have guided us and grant us from Yourself mercy. Indeed, You are the Bestower” (3:8)
